Property Description

Clear Creek Heritage Preserve comprises 19 acres and contains the state's second most important population of the rare plant species, bunched arrowhead. Known to occur in less than a dozen populations worldwide, bunched arrowhead is listed as endangered under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. Dense populations of these plants are found in three seepage areas on the property. Besides bunched arrowhead, the preserve harbors two species of state concern: green adder's mouth and kidney-leaf twayblade.
